Purchasing / Inventory Manager

We are seeking a proven Supply Chain / Purchasing & Inventory Management professional on behalf of our client, a premier provider of office products, supplies and business technology in the Cayman Islands. With more than 25 years of history behind them, the company operates both a busy retail storefront and a successful business-to-business sales division.

Please consider applying if you have the following qualifications and expertise:

  • A minimum of 5 years of purchasing/inventory experience at the management level. Direct experience with a retail or B2B office products company and relevant product lines is preferred (office supplies, office furniture, enterprise computing, business technology and consumables etc.)
  • Educated to Degree level. Additional industry certification /training would be an asset
  • Demonstrated ability to connect functional execution to business strategy
  • Demonstrated capability to successfully partner with peers and senior business leaders
Responsibilities will include:
  • Managing a small but busy department handling all aspects of supply chain including Purchasing, Receiving, Inventory Management and Pricing
  • Engage with Senior Management, Marketing and Sales teams to understand the business strategy and align supply chain design to execute business strategy
  • Make recommendations and implement processes to improve productivity, quality, and efficiency of operations
  • Track and communicate to the business, key supply chain metrics, especially related to customer experience and adherence to plan
  • Ensure end to end supply chain cost competitiveness
  • Develop skills of existing staff

Due to the relocation required, highly mobile and adaptable individuals are sought with outside interests that would lend themselves to Grand Cayman’s idyllic living environment. 

Salary offered will be commensurate with experience, paid in local currency (CI$) in range of approximately $100-120 $CAD equivalent, TAX FREE, plus an annual performance bonus.

Relevant work permit, relocation cost assistance, initial temporary housing, health/medical insurance (co-pay), pension program and other benefits will also be available.
