On behalf of our prestigious client in the Cayman Islands, we are seeking a Information Security Manager to join their team in the Cayman Islands on a full time and residential basis.

Working with a team of exceptionally qualified I.T. professionals and reporting directly to the VP of I.T., the post holder will be responsible for:

Leading the implementation of policies, procedures and related metrics for ensuring comprehensive I.T. security controls and processes are in place. Information protection responsibilities include network security architecture, network access and monitoring policies, system security architecture, access control systems, employee security education to ensure the security of the organization’s information systems and assets while meeting business unit needs.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Performing IT security risk assessments for the organization to identify and develop necessary control processes to appropriately mitigate IT security risks
  • Ensuring the integrity and protection of networks, systems, and applications by technical enforcement of organizational security policies, by overseeing and performing ongoing monitoring activities.
  • Responsible for the overall monitoring and analysis of Firewall systems, including evaluation of change requests and assessing organizational risk
  • Oversee monitoring and analyzing Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS) to identify security issues and remediation
  • Ensure effective monitoring and analyzing of Security Information Event Management (SIEM) system and log management
  • Performing periodic and on demand system audits and network vulnerability assessments, including user accounts, application access, file system and external perimeter scans
  • Lead cybersecurity incident response activities
  • Lead the design, development and deployment various information security solutions as required.

Education, training and experience required:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Management Information Systems or equivalent
  • SOME of the following: Networking (CCIE or CCNA/CCNP), GIAC certification (GCED, GSEC, GISP, GCWN, GSNA, GCFW), CISA (Certified Information Systems Auditor), CISM (Certified Information Systems Manager), CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional), INFOSEC, Cloud and Project Management and / or other relevant certifications.
  • Minimum 7 years’ of experience designing, developing and deploying I.T. and Networking solutions.
  • Experience with penetration testing techniques and tools
  • Experience with enterprise security information management tools performing such duties as incident detection and response, security information management, vulnerability scanning/assessments and threat analysis
  • Experience with administration and monitoring of Security Information Event Management (SIEM) system and log management
  • Proficiency with Windows Server security architecture and administration
  • Proficiency with virtualization technologies such as VMware
