Information Security Analyst


How would you like to put your Information Security background to use with our financial services client in subtropical Bermuda? Earn a $US pegged compensation package with low, 6% tax while having that “one-in-a-lifetime” international experience!

We are searching for an experienced IT Security professional to join our client’s Information Security team in Bermuda on a full-time basis.

This will be a great opportunity for the right person to work closely with the Information Security Manager and be responsible for the day-to-day operations and enhancement of security systems within a financial services environment.

Duties and responsibilities will include:

  • Assist in the planning and design of enterprise security architecture
  • Implementing security architecture strategies and recommending solutions or enhancements to improve overall enterprise security
  • Assist in defining metrics (KPIs and KRIs) for security controls 
  • Act as an SME on Information Security Issues
  • Participate in the planning and creation of business continuity, disaster recovery and information security incident response plans
  • Deploy, integrate and maintain information security tools (IDS, SIEM, vulnerability management, mail content filtering, etc.)
  • Participate in the design and execution of penetration tests, security audits and perform risk assessments
  • Monitor solutions and security events, investigating potential incidents or violations, recommend action plans and coordinate resolution
  • Provide guidance and support to junior team members
Ideal qualifications and experience:

  • 5 years of professional experience designing, implementing and supporting IT systems that includes at least 2 years of proven experience in a Security Analyst or similar role.
  • Experience in a financial services environment would be an advantage
  • Recognized Security Industry certification required. One or more of CISSP, CISM, CRISC etc. Complimentary security related certifications from vendors (Microsoft, Check Point, Cisco etc.) would be an asset.
  • University degree in a relevant field and/or equivalent level of training, experience and certification.
  • Experience with Technology Risk Assessments, Intrusion Prevention/Detection, Vulnerability Scanners
  • Strong understanding of AD group policies and security models for authentication and access controls.
  • Strong understanding of firewalls, remote access services, desktop and presentation virtualization 
  • Experience with data loss prevention, content filtering and endpoint protection
